What Is Collision Reconstruction?
Collision reconstruction is the scientific process of establishing how and why a crash occurred. Using scene traces, witness testimony, police records, vehicle damage, and EDR/telematics data, we model pre-impact movements, impact dynamics, and post-impact trajectories.
Our methods quantify speed, timing, sight lines, and mechanical condition. The result is an independent, objective report addressing liability, causation, and contributory factors for criminal and civil proceedings in Scotland.
We compare competing accounts against physics, consider visibility and reaction time, and present uncertainties clearly.
Collision Reconstruction Services
We deliver end-to-end services for solicitors, insurers, and private clients. From initial case screening and disclosure review to locus examinations and vehicle inspections, we produce clear, illustrated reports. We quantify speeds, timings, and visibility; assess distraction, impairment, and road layout effects; and consider compliance with Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations.
Our experts provide conferences with counsel, expert witness testimony, and Scots procedure-compliant statements for court. Where appropriate we undertake time-distance studies, photogrammetry, video speed estimation, and prepare demonstratives for mediation or trial.

Scene Analysis and Evidence Collection
Scene analysis and evidence collection are the foundations of a robust reconstruction. We begin with a controlled locus examination, recording geometry, signage, markings, gradients, lighting, and environmental conditions.
Perishable traces, tyre marks, debris dispersal, fluid trails, scrub marks, and rest positions, are measured, photographed, and mapped to scale.
We create CAD plans or 3D point clouds, authenticate and time-synchronise CCTV/dashcam sources, and download EDR or telematics where available. Vehicle inspections document damage, restraints, lighting, tyre condition, and mechanical state.
We review police procedures and disclosure, reconcile witness accounts, and test alternative hypotheses against physics. Chain-of-custody, metadata, and calibration records are maintained so the evidence withstands scrutiny in Scottish criminal and civil courts. All measurements are documented to recognised forensic standards.
Request a Detailed Reconstruction Report
To request a detailed reconstruction report, share disclosure and any photographs, footage, or statements. We will scope the issues, identify necessary examinations, and provide a clear estimate, including any court attendance. Our normal turnaround is fourteen to twenty-one days from full disclosure.
Reports set out methodology, assumptions, analysis, and conclusions, with supporting photographs, scaled plans, and, where helpful, video or 3D visualisations. Instructions may be privately funded, insurer-funded, or sanctioned by the Scottish Legal Aid Board. We can provide conferences with counsel, expert meetings, and court testimony where required.
On request, we will produce supplementary statements, critiques of opposing reports, and visual aids tailored for juries and sheriffs. We also offer urgent preliminary opinions where timescales demand it.

Dangerous Driving Investigation Glasgow
We investigate allegations of dangerous or careless driving, correlating statements, CCTV, dashcam, vehicle data and locus evidence. Findings address standard of driving under Scots law, causation, visibility, speed and decision-making, with reasoned opinions suitable for Sheriff and High Court proceedings.
Accident Vehicle Examinations Glasgow
Independent forensic inspections identify pre-existing faults, impact damage and post-collision defects. We assess brakes, steering, tyres, lighting and restraints against Construction and Use requirements, preserving chain of custody. Results clarify whether mechanical condition contributed to the incident.
Collision Reconstructions Glasgow
Using physics-based reconstruction, crush analysis and time-distance calculations, we test competing versions of events. Speed estimates, sightlines and reaction opportunities are evaluated, producing clear, illustrated explanations for courts, tribunals, insurers and solicitors, and robust opinions on causation and contributory negligence.
